Basic fee: 5 cents per word

Want a service that goes beyond proofreading? Editing includes making changes to improve word flow, maintaining consistency in word choice and punctuation, and providing additional suggestions for improvement.

Basic fee: 15 cents per word

Are you looking for feedback on your writing so you can improve your writing skills? Copy editing offers an editorial critique and an in-depth line edit so you can use constructive feedback to improve your writing skills.

Basic fee: 7 cents per word

Receiving constructive feedback on your nonfiction manuscript so you can make improvements on your own is great. It will help you grow as a writer. But getting an editor to take a look at your revised manuscript before you send it out to the world will help you catch typos or mistakes you might have missed. It's a second check to make sure your writing is at its best.

Basic fee: 10 cents per word

If you need an overhaul of your writing work, rewriting may be the best option.

Basic fee: 50 cents per word
 
Ordering Instructions
To order the above services on an individual project basis, please send your full manuscript (Microsoft Word and OpenOffice are acceptable formats), along with the type of editing service you are interested in, to me at jody@emeryroad.com. I will verify your manuscript for word count and service type and send an invoice and formal agreement for you to sign within 24 hours.
